We have added a new server in Germany. This server supports OpenVPN, PPTP and L2TP VPN and will eventually be part of the Ultimate VPN when launched. For now all premium subscribers have access to this server.

Following is the speed test result from USA on a 15Mbps link.

US and EU – PA Server IP Change and Server in NL Replaced

The PA server IP (ending with .117) had to be changed due to a move within the data center.

We also replaced the server in NL. This server now supports OpenVPN, PPTP and L2TP VPN.

We have added a new server in UK. The server supports OpenVPN, PPTP and L2TP VPN. With this addition, Ace VPN premium subscribers have access to VPN gateways in 9 different locations around the world, 4 in USA and 5 in Europe. Premium subscription costs $5 per month or $55 yearly. Sign up here.

EU: Connectivity issues

We are experiencing connectivity issues with 4 EU servers at this time. Except for the recently added server in UK rest is inaccessible. We are working with the data center to get the servers up ASAP.

USA servers and the server ending with IP .157 in UK are functional.

We are also planning to add / move few servers to other data centers in EU to prevent this from happening again.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Update (Jan 25, 2010): Servers are functional again. We are monitoring the servers closely. We are also in talk with few other data centers in EU. Thanks for your patience.

Update 1 (Jan 25, 2010): We just added a new server in France. We have 1 more coming up by weekend in UK. This server will be in a different data center.

Update 2 (Jan 26, 2010): New server added in UK. This server is in a different data center. Thanks for your patience while we resolved this issue.

L2TP VPN on Ace VPN servers

That’s right! We are rolling out support for L2TP VPN on our network. The L2TP support is still in beta and is available on USA and Germany servers at this time. We plan to roll out the L2TP support on other servers in the next few weeks. Your existing Ace VPN account works on L2TP VPN.

The configuration instructions for iPhone and iPod touch L2TP is available here. We will be adding instructions for other platforms shortly.
